Professional Development with EK was created by Ebone Kimber to provide education to her helping professional colleagues who serve populations in need of service. She has been a practicing social worker since 2007 and has worked in a variety of settings including TFC, Wraparound, Residential and advocacy work for youth in foster care.
She credits her clients as her biggest influence in encouraging her to "think outside the box" and reconsider some of the constraints of systems that negatively affect those she is blessed to serve everyday. This blog serves as a communication hub to education others about the hardships, barriers and wins of those served by the mental health community.
